Oxford and Cambridge application advising
We use a combination of data and experience to advise on all aspects of Oxbridge applications, including degree choice, college selection, pre-interview assessment preparation, interview preparation, and UCAS Personal Statement planning. We work with a network of experienced, subject-specialist teachers and tutors to provide technical input when needed.
Supported students have secured places to read a wide range of subjects, including in recent years Economics & Management, Law, Maths, Theology, Engineering, Natural Sciences, History, and Land Economy.
Ivy League and general US college application advising
We offer advice on all aspects of the US college application process, for both Common App and non-Common App institutions, including college list, EA/ED choice(s), the Common App, college writing supplements, and interviews. We also provide long-term strategic planning for supra-curricular and extra-curricular activities. We do not currently offer in-house SAT/ACT coaching, but can suggest providers for this service.
Students in recent years have secured offers from Ivy League members like Harvard, Yale, and Columbia, and from other top-tier institutions ranging from University of Chicago to Georgetown to Vanderbilt.
Russell Group application advising
We advise on applications to the most competitive Russell Group universities, some of which boast courses as selective as those at Oxford and Cambridge. We can advise on all aspects of the application, including interviews and written assessments. Recent students have secured offers from Imperial, LSE, UCL, Warwick, Durham, Bristol, Edinburgh, and beyond.
General UCAS application advising
We advise on Personal Statement planning, and strategies to mitigate risk and maximise potential options from the five UCAS choices.
Canadian/European/Dual Degree programme application advising
We have advised students on successful applications to top-tier Canadian institutions like McGill and Toronto, very selective European universities like Bocconi, and highly competitive dual-degree programmes like the St Andrews/William and Mary Joint Degree programme; we would also consider on a case-by-case basis requests for supporting applications to other institutions or programmes.
Graduate advising
We have experience of advising graduate students in relation to a range of postgraduate and professional programmes across a number of different disciplines; due to the increased specialisation at this level, enquiries are considered on a case-by-case basis.
Critical Thinking programmes
Our Critical Thinking programmes began life as brain-training exercises for prospective Oxbridge Law and E&M/PPE candidates, but have since grown into customisable plans aimed at improving the academic skill-sets of all students. The duration of the plan and the materials used can be adjusted to the needs of each individual student, but common modules include critical reading, deductive logic, logical fallacies, essay-planning and essay-writing, rhetoric, and decision-making through case studies. Students completing a Critical Thinking programme have consistently demonstrated improvements in their academic performance, and many have asked to extend their programmes as a result.
